AOL

If you have not read the Wikipedia entry on AOL, you have to. It is hilarious, but too true that this kind of stuff happens to try and keep customers. Also if you can, go to the link near the bottom that links to the AOL handbook. The actions are crazy!

McDonald's vs. Landfill

I was thinking the other day, there isn't much difference between McDonald's and a Landfill. Let me explain.

McDonald's
  • Public
  • You pay to eat
  • Inspected by a Health Inspector

Both
  • Tastes the same
  • Unsanitary
  • Smells like crud
  • Looks the same
  • etc.
Landfill
  • Private
  • You pay to throw away stuff
  • Not inspected by a Health Inspector
Wow. It gives a new meaning to junk food.

The Environment

Pollution, Resources, Economy; the list goes on. We have so many problems with the environment it's not even funny. We have been pumping so much pollution into the air, that nothing can handle it. The temperatures are rising unnaturally.
Many people out there are saying crud like, "Oh, there have been many normal climate shifts in the past, and so we aren't doing anything bad."
But here's the difference. The other climate shifts happened after something drastic happened, such as a meteor hit earth, or a volcano erupted.
And that hasn't happened recently.
We are killing our Earth. Especially the species that live here now, and our children. They are going to have to deal with the mess we created and it's not going to be pretty at all.
Also our resources are taking a direct hit. Our oil production has hit the max at a turning point when the world keeps demanding more energy. Also we use oil for more than just gasoline. Most plastics are oil based, and once we run out of oil, there won't be any plastic.
Then the major world leaders go, "Oh, no, we can't stop using fossil fuels. That's bad for economy!"
First of all, SCREW THE ECONOMY! Would you rather ride a bike to work or die?
Second of all, we would actually help the economy by not using fossil fuels. Creating and running renewable energy sources takes money and jobs. A wind turbine just doesn't randomly pop up in the middle of a desert by itself does it?
So please think about it. Try to save resources.
1. Turn off devices when you're not using them. Don't just put them standby mode.
2. Get rid of the Hummer etc. It's not cool to kill the environment is it? And if you really want a Hummer, you can get them converted to hybrids and also get them to run on grease etc.
3. Don't waste. Most industrialized countries are extremely careless. They don't care about their items because they can just "buy a new one." That'll be funny when we run out of resources to make a new one.

Please just be responsible and help keep our world alive.

Whooo... Glad to get that off my mind. And remember, follow my directions, or kill your future generation.

Asus Eee Pc

The Asus Eee. Cool name in my opinion. I've been reading about the little device, and I can't find a bad review anywhere!. The little thing runs off Linux or Windows (if you buy it) and seems to be a good deal nonetheless. And everyone is praising it. It looks pretty cool to me and the specs aren't that bad for the price you pay. I have got to get my hands on one of those if I can. The only problem is that Asus doesn't seem to be making many.
It seems like Asus might finally become a larger brand in America if the Eee does its job.
Well tell me if you have or tried one and how you like it, Please!
